Co-Workers from Nashville Share $50,000 Powerball Prize

A group of colleagues from the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee are celebrating their recent Powerball win, as the co-workers, who had been entering Powerball together for “two or three” months, landed a Match 4 plus Powerball prize of $50,000.

What were the winning Powerball numbers?

The group, comprising of 11 employees, bought their ticket for the Powerball drawing on October 11th, 2017, and matched 4 main numbers out of five, plus the Powerball number. The winning numbers were 1, 3, 13, 19, 69, Powerball 23 and the Power Play number was 2x. The group were just one number short of the top prize and there was no jackpot winner in the drawing. The full prize breakdown alongside winners and payout information is available here

A representative of the group, Dana Fulton, who works as a nurse, commented on the win saying, “We've just started playing together, and I guess it paid off pretty quick!”

In other winner news, the $191 million Powerball jackpot, won in Louisiana, has still not been claimed, a week after the drawing. Players can check their Powerball numbers using the Number Checker. The ticket was sold at Brownie's Shop Rite Supermarket in Eunice, located on West Maple. The winning ticket holder has 180 days from October 25th to claim their prize.

What is Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot?

The jackpot has rolled over for three consecutive draws with no winner. The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday is an estimated $75 million and lottery fans can pick up a ticket at any authorized retailer or players can choose their numbers online. If you can’t decide what numbers to choose, try using the Number Generator, which allows you to generate numbers at random. Good luck in the drawing!
