Engaged Couple Win $50,000 Powerball Prize
Erika Jackson and Anthony Zagaroli, an engaged couple from Rocky Hill, Connecticut, can finally go ahead with planning their wedding thanks to a recent Powerball win of $50,000. The lucky couple have been engaged for nearly four years and wedding planning had been put on hold due to other commitments.
What were the winning Powerball numbers?
The winning Powerball numbers for the drawing on October 11th were 1, 3, 13, 19, 69, Powerball 23 and the Power Play number was 2x. Erika and Anthony matched four main numbers plus the Powerball to become $50,000 richer. There were no top prize winners on the night, however, one other ticket holder matched the five main numbers with Power Play to win $2,000,000.
Erika discovered they had won by using a Ticket Checker and she described the moment she found out about the big win, saying, "I double checked the ticket again - I'm still a little in shock!"

The happy couple bought the winning ticket from Krauszer's Food Store, which is located on 170 Cedar Street in Branford.
How will they spend the Powerball winnings?
When asked about their plans for the winnings and the wedding, Erika commented "I'm thinking more of the honeymoon!"
