Powerball Jackpot Passed the $500,000,000 Mark and Still Growing!
On Monday 11th, the Powerball jackpot crossed a major milestone, reaching the $500,000,000 mark - that's 500 million, A.K.A. half-a-billion! There were no jackpot winners for Monday's $501 million draw, which means that the jackpot's steady march continues… But how high will it go?
The jackpot for this Wednesday's draw is an estimated $526 million annuity, which works out at $241 million as a cash lump sum. There have been four jackpot-winners so far in 2025, with the last grand prize won in California back in May ($204,500,000), and the jackpot has been rolling up ever since.
In March, another California ticket holder won a $526,500,000 jackpot - $500 grand more valuable than this one. At first, we were going to say "slightly higher", but that's still a huge amount of money! We'll have to wait and see if their 2025 jackpot record holds.
