Powerball Jackpot Passes $550 Million

After more than two months without a winner, Powerball has soared above $550 million again. It continues a run of huge jackpots to have been offered in this lottery over the past year.

The latest draw without a winner came on Monday, March 11. The winning numbers - 1, 3, 7, 16 and 66, with a Powerball of 5, produced more than 709,000 prizes. Many of those were boosted fivefold as the Power Play multiplier for the night was 5X.

The biggest winner of the night was a ticket holder from Virginia who matched all five main numbers but missed the Powerball, leaving them $1 million richer.

Go to the Powerball Payouts page to see a breakdown of all the prizes won at all different levels. You can also find the Double Play numbers, and examine the results for your own state in more detail.

With 30 successive rollovers behind it and more tickets set to be sold in the next couple of days, the estimated jackpot for Wednesday night stands at $559 million. The cash value of the jackpot will be approximately $273.3 million.

No Winner Since New Year’s Day

The last time the jackpot was won was on New Year’s Day, when a player from Michigan matched all the numbers to snap up a staggering $842.4 million.

Before then, the two previous jackpots to be won were both worth more than $1 billion, and both went to ticket holders from California.

California was also the scene of the largest Powerball win of all time. Edwin Castro, from Altadena in the Golden State, claimed $2.04 billion from the historic drawing on November 7, 2022.

The current jackpot still has a long way to go to threaten Castro’s high mark, but it is quickly approaching the top ten.

Keep an eye out for the latest winning numbers every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night, and remember to keep your tickets safe until you are ready to come forward to claim any prizes you are due.
