Manufacturing Workers Celebrate $50,000 Powerball Win

Six Hoosier co-workers are celebrating a recent $50,000 Powerball win, having matched four main numbers and the Powerball in a recent draw. The group, who call themselves “Over Fifty”, work at the NTN Driveshaft in Columbus and the members all reside in Indiana, spread from Indianapolis to Seymour.

Where was the winning Powerball ticket sold?

The winning Powerball ticket was sold at Ricker’s convenience store at 3750 East Fall Creek Parkway in Indianapolis. Group member Roland, who had alerted his co-workers to the win, expressed his excitement on collecting the prize, saying: "I couldn't wait to tell them." Another member of the group checked the numbers and thought they had won $100, before discovering it was actually $50,000.

The group consists of six members: Patricia A., Roland W., James T., Pam F., Gamaliel G., and Curt H. They have been playing Powerball since December 2015 and, over the years, members of the group have come and gone. When Patricia found out about the $50,000 win, she admitted that she was “screaming” with excitement.

The group claimed the Powerball prize on November 6th from the lottery office in Indianapolis.

What will they spend the winnings on?

Members of the group say they will use the money towards paying for Christmas, with others opting to put the money in the bank. If you won a $50,000 Powerball prize, what would you buy first?
