Wednesday’s Powerball Jackpot Grows to $115 Million

Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot stands at an estimated $115 million, with a cash value of $74.1 million, after no players matched the five main numbers and the Powerball in last Saturday’s drawing.

The numbers for Saturday September 9th were 6, 20, 29, 57, 59, Powerball 22, and Power Play 2X. There were a total of 586,421 prize winners on the night and a player from California is $1 million richer, having matched 5 main numbers, just one number short of the top prize. The winning ticket in California was sold at Victory Wines and Spirits on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in San Diego.

Other winners on the night included three lucky players from Wisconsin, who are now $50,000 richer. The tickets were sold in Eau Claire, Janesville, and Mauston. More information about the winners and payouts for Saturday’s drawing is available on the Latest Powerball Numbers page.

The Powerball jackpot was last won on August 23rd by Mavis Wanczyk from Chicopee, Massachusetts. Mavis landed the top prize of $758.7 million and holds the record for the largest win on a single lottery ticket anywhere in the world. The jackpot has rolled over five times since her win.

Will the jackpot roll over or will it be won this Wednesday? If won, the ticket holder will have the option to take the estimated cash lump sum of $74.1 million or to accept the full value of the jackpot, paid out over 29 years. You can learn more about the different options for claiming a Powerball jackpot by visiting the Cash vs Annuity page.

If you would like to try your luck in tomorrow night’s Powerball drawing, you can visit any authorized retailer in participating states to buy your tickets or players can choose their numbers online. Good luck!
