Saturday’s Powerball Jackpot Rolls to $356 Million

The Powerball jackpot for the Saturday August 12th drawing has increased to an estimated $356 million with a cash option of $224 million after 17 rollovers.

There were no jackpot winners in last night’s Powerball drawing. However, there were a total of 1,597,975 prize winners and three Powerball tickets worth $1,000,000 were sold in Iowa, Oregon, and Texas. The winning numbers for Wednesday August 9th, 2017, were 12, 30, 36, 47, 62, and Powerball 9. Players can check their numbers online and view the latest prize breakdown, by visiting the dedicated page.

The Powerball jackpot was last won by Jeff Lindsay on June 10th and the jackpot amount was $447.8 million. He bought his winning ticket in the Riverside County city of Menifee, California.

Last summer, a single ticket holder from New Hampshire won $487 million on July 30th after 24 rollovers. The winner chose to take the cash lump-sum of $256.3 million, after withholdings.

If the $356 million jackpot is won by a fortunate ticket holder on Saturday night, the Powerball player will have the option to accept the full value of the jackpot, paid out over 29 years or to take the cash-lump sum of $224 million. You can find out more about the options for claiming a Powerballl jackpot on the Cash vs Annuity page.

Tickets for this Saturday can be bought from any authorized retailers in participating states or players can choose their numbers online. Good luck!
