Missouri Winners

Dearborn couple Mark and Cindy Hall are still in shock having found out about their recent Powerball win. When Cindy discovered they held a winning Powerball ticket, she immediately called her husband and said with excitement, "I think we just won the Lottery!"

Cindy purchased the winning ticket at Trex Mart, located on 17605 Highway Z in Dearborn. She also bought four other tickets for the same drawing. The night before the drawing, Cindy was speaking to her daughter about people winning the Powerball jackpot and jokingly said, “Honey, that probably never happens.”

The couple adopted their daughter from China five years ago and plan on adopting again with a portion of the winnings. They also want to use a portion to help family pay for college fees, as they have four grandchildren and four nieces and nephews. In addition, they plan on taking their daughter to the beach for the first time ever and, as she likes horses, considering buying her a horse in a few years’ time. The couple have also spoken about getting a red Camaro.

Speaking about the win, they said, "It's really going to be nice to spend time – not have to work – and be able to take trips with our family."

Trex Mart will receive a bonus of $50,000 for selling the winning jackpot ticket. You can learn more about how much retailer receive for selling a winning ticket here

Arizona Winner

The second winner to have a share of the $587.5 million Powerball jackpot is Matthew Good from Fountain Hills in Arizona. Matthew chose to remain anonymous once he claimed the $192.3 million payout. In Arizona, if you win a lottery jackpot and choose to remain anonymous, your name is still released to the public.

Lottery officials spoke on Matthew’s behalf, saying, "It is difficult to express just how thankful we are for this wonderful gift. We are extremely grateful and feel fortunate to now have an increased ability to support our charities and causes. Obviously, this has been incredibly overwhelming, and we have always cherished our privacy."

Matthew, a manager at an electronics company, is married and has a young daughter. A good friend of Matthew’s described him as, "Just a very personable, nice guy." He also commented, saying, "I mean he's always out there trying to help somebody." It is not known what Matthew and his family will spend the winnings on.
