$155.2 Million Powerball Jackpot Won in Wisconsin

A Powerball player from Wisconsin matched all five main numbers and the Powerball to win the $155.2 million jackpot in the drawing on Wednesday March 22nd. The lucky ticket holder, who bought their ticket at a convenience store located on Capitol Drive in Pewaukee, brings the total number of Powerball jackpot winners from Wisconsin to 16 and the sum is the second biggest jackpot won in the state. 


The winning numbers for the Wednesday 22nd March drawing were 2, 9, 27, 29, 42, and Powerball 9. There were two other big winners on the night, from New York and South Carolina, who matched five main numbers to pick up $1 million each. The Wisconsin winner has 180 days to contact the Wisconsin Lottery officials and claim their prize. They can choose to accept the cash lump sum of $92.4 million or take the full amount, which is paid out in annual installments over 29 years. 

The previous Powerball jackpot winner of $435.5 million was a Purdue University graduate from Indiana. He chose the cash option of $189.1 million after withholdings.
